About

"The first wealth is health."

           ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

I am an artist, creative producer, and partner in healing.  As a photographer, I have learned how to work with people from all walks of life. As a creative producer, I can see the big picture and imagine how things can be. As an ayurvedic practitioner, I help people see a path towards wellness. In all of these endeavors, I help people see themselves and the world around them in a different way.  My focus is on creating a community in which health and quality of life is valued most; where there is an understanding that the health of our own bodies and minds directly connect to the health of our communities and the world.  We are our own universe and our health reflects the health of the larger universe around us.

The early part of my career was spent in NYC as a photo editor, producer of still and moving images and photographer. Some of the places where I helped produce/coordinate content include: Cosmopolitan, Rolling Stone, and the Film Unit of Saturday Night Live.   Some of the places my work has been published include: Marie Claire, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Time Out New York, Jane, Fortune, The Brooklyn Eagle, Japanese Playboy and Vanity Fair.  I was nominated by Fortune Magazine for a World Press Organization's Joop Swart Masterclass. My photography work began as street documentary and evolved into studio and fashion.  My images have been used as content for live concerts and in 2004, I was the director and producer of content for The Beastie Boys “To the 5 Boroughs” tour.  I am a founding member and ongoing creative producer / consultant for Femina, a women's networking organization and continue to offer creative prodution services as a freelancer.

Motherhood compelled a shift in focus and i was able to return towards formal

studying  of Ayurveda & Yoga for a few years. Learning how to take care of myself and family was the original goal when I began my studies in 2010, but  after completing Kripalu's 750hr Ayurvedic Training program, I have taken my time, expanding it out into the community and am now teaching classes, workshops as well as offering private consultations and hosting Salon gatherings.  I have furthered my Ayurvedic studies with Maya Tiwari's Wise Earth School, Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. Claudia Welch and Dr. Robert Svoboda.

With a background in dance, I began studying yoga seriously in 2007 and completed a 250+ hr Yoga Teacher training with Briala Silva in 2012. I am also a certified Vaginal Steam Facilitator.

I live and breathe creativity, be it a production, an installation, photograph, workshop or movement class.
